Hi there! My name is Mrs. Kathryn. Welcome to my corner of the internet where I like to help students achieve their academic goals.
As a parent, I know how frustrating it can be to watch your child struggle with a concept. Between homeschooling my own children and substituting in the Duval county school system, I’ve learned that conceptual hurdles can be challenging to overcome but when the student finally comprehends the topic, there is nothing more rewarding.
After years of working with various curriculum and methods, the technique that I’ve had the most success with is my own: T.L.C. (time, learning, and consistency). In my experience, we parents assume that once our students have learned something, that’s the end of the road. However, one of the more overlooked, but critical elements to learning is not initial comprehension, but retention. If we ensure that students put in the time, learning is a natural byproduct; however, if we keep students consistent with this pattern of study, review, and preparation, they are far more likely to retain what they learn.

How do we meet?
I offer in-person sessions for students located in Duval County zip codes. Meetings are held at quite, public establishments conducive to learning (a precise location is provided when a session has been scheduled).
Virtual appointments are available to students located in Duval county and surrounding areas. Virtual sessions are conducted via Zoom.
